When booking a photographer & videographer, you probably have some questions! I have included some of the most commonly asked questions below to help you through your journey of finding your wedding day team.
SHOULD I BOOK BOTH PHOTO & VIDEO?
A good question! I’m not just being biased, but you will want both, trust me!
Photography provides beautiful, timeless snapshots that you can treasure in prints, albums, and framed pictures, while videography captures motion, sound, and the overall ambiance, allowing you to relive your vows, speeches, and candid moments.
You can’t replace one with the other, both provide such a different style of the day.
WILL YOU HELP ME WITH OTHER VENDORS?
Absolutely! As your wedding photographer & videographer, We am more than happy to help you with other vendors to ensure that your special day runs smoothly and is everything you've dreamed of. With our experience in the wedding industry, We have had the pleasure of working alongside many talented professionals, and We can provide recommendations for vendors who align with your vision and style.
WHAT IF OUR WEDDING DAY INCLUDES SOMETHING DIFFERENT TO THE USUAL?
If your wedding day includes something different from the usual, we are more than excited to embrace and capture those unique elements! We understand that every wedding is special and personal, and we love celebrating the distinct touches that make your day uniquely yours.

DO YOU OFFER ALBUMS & LARGE PRINTS?
You bet we do! As you may have seen we deliver our photos on an online digital link, but we don’t believe in them staying there forever which is why we offer the finest prints and albums through a local company here in New Zealand.
DO YOU OFFER 35MM & SUPER 8MM FILM?
We do! & won’t you bet it’s our favourite thing to talk about with our wedding clients. I personally love 35mm film but I think watching the way Cody incorporates super 8mm film into his wedding videos is my absolute favourite.
35mm Film Photography
Using 35mm film allows us to capture your wedding day in a way that feels both romantic and authentic. The process of shooting on film encourages a more deliberate and thoughtful approach, resulting in images that are truly special.
Super 8mm Film Videography
Super 8mm film is perfect for creating charming, vintage-style wedding videos. This format has a nostalgic, dreamy quality that evokes the feel of home movies from decades past. The resulting video has a unique texture and warmth that digital formats can't replicate.
HOW DO YOU KEEP MY SPECIAL IMAGES SAFE THROUGHOUT THE PROCESS?
While shooting your important moments, We are shooting directly onto 2 x SD cards which means there is always a backup, even while shooting. Post shoot we then transfer all of our files onto 2 seperate hard drives. We don’t clear the SD cards until we have well and truely delivered your photos/videos. Which means we have your photos/videos safe and sound in 4 different locations while we prepare them for you! ◡̈
HOW DOES TRAVEL WORK?
Travelling should be our middle name, I hope that wasn’t cheesy hahaha but we thrive to travel and being able to do it for our work is truely the greatest thing ever.
Travel costs are different for every couple as they are based off where your wedding will be and how long the wedding will go for (i.e 1, 2 days).
For cost, we will provide you the travel costs included into our coverage fee so you know you have the total price in one place and you don’t have a bunch of different pricing, our pricing includes flights, accomodation & car hire (if required as sometimes it’s not).
For destination weddings such as Europe we will generally fly in around a week beforehand, it’s a long flight and we like to make sure we have time incase anything happens during that time.
For weddings in Australia/New Zealand that we are flying for, we will arrive 3 days beforehand so we know for sure we will be there with time to spare incase you need anything in the days leading up to the wedding.
When discussing travel arrangements, we will:
Include our travel cost into our coverage fee.
Discuss and finalise travel and accommodation plans well in advance.
Ensure we arrive with plenty of time to prepare and familiarise ourselves with the venue.
Communicate clearly and regularly to address any questions or changes in plans.
HOW DOES PAYMENT WORK?
To secure your wedding date, we require a 50% non-refundable retainer, the final 50% is then able to be paid off in full or in increments over the following how ever months to your wedding date, as long as the full amount has been paid 30 days before your wedding date.
WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU ARE SICK ON OUR WEDDING DAY?
We of course will always be there on your wedding day, but we understand that unexpected situations, such as illness, can arise. Here’s how we handle such scenarios to ensure that your wedding day is still perfectly captured:
Backup Photographers: We have a network of talented and trusted photographers who can step in if we are unable to attend due to illness. These backup photographers are professionals, ensuring they meet our high standards of quality and style.
Client Communication: In the rare event that we become ill, we will inform you as soon as possible and discuss the backup plan. We believe in maintaining open and honest communication to keep you informed and reassured.
Contractual Coverage: Our contract includes clauses that outline the steps we will take if an emergency, such as illness, prevents us from being present. This provides you with clear expectations and assurances.
Same Quality and Style: The backup photographer will be fully briefed on your wedding details, preferences, and our photography style. This ensures that the photos will be consistent with the quality and aesthetic you expect.
Post-Production: Even if a backup photographer steps in, we will still handle the post-production and editing to maintain our signature look and feel in your final images. This guarantees that your wedding photos reflect our unique style and attention to detail.
DO YOU REQUIRE A MEAL BREAK ON THE DAY?
Yes, we do appreciate having a meal break on the wedding day. As photographers, we typically have long hours of continuous shooting to ensure that every important moment of your wedding is beautifully captured. A meal break allows us to recharge, refuel, and maintain our energy levels so that we can continue providing you with the best possible service throughout the day.
DO YOU POST OUR PHOTOS ON SOCIAL MEDIA?
Usually yes I do, but if you request for your photos to not be shared publicly, I will 100% respect this! ◡̈
